But the Gospel gives us a completely different starting place.
In this episode of Jesus Timeout, we're unpacking what it means to fight from victory instead of for it. We'll explore how renewing your mind, staying rooted in God's Word, surrounding yourself with faith-filled people, and celebrating the victories of others positions you to live with confidence instead of fear.
When you understand that Christ has already secured the victory, you stop striving and start standing.

Have you ever felt exhausted from carrying the weight of everyone else's choices, emotions, or outcomes?
What if part of the burden you're carrying was never yours to carry?
In this episode of Jesus Timeout, we'll explore what Scripture says about "minding your own business"—not as an act of indifference, but as an invitation to peace, freedom, and faithful stewardship. Through 1 Thessalonians 4, John 21, and Matthew 7, you'll discover the difference between what God has entrusted to you, what belongs to others, and what belongs to Him.
If you've been feeling overwhelmed, responsible for everyone, or distracted by comparison, this gentle time with Jesus will help you release what isn't yours and refocus on faithfully following Him.
Scriptures:• 1 Thessalonians 4:11–12• John 21:20–22• Matthew 7:3–5
Take a deep breath, lay down the burdens you were never meant to carry, and spend a few quiet moments with Jesus.

Have you ever watched someone grow and thought, Look how far they've come?
In this episode of Jesus Timeout, we're looking at 2 Thessalonians 1:3–4 and Paul's joyful celebration of the Thessalonian believers. Even in the face of relentless persecution and pressure, their faith continued to grow, their love for one another increased, and their perseverance became a testimony worth sharing.
This passage reminds us that there is a healthy, God-honoring kind of pride—not pride rooted in ourselves, but genuine joy in the fruit God has produced through faithful investment and steadfast obedience.
As you reflect on your own life, consider these questions:• What fruit has God been producing in you through difficult seasons?• Who has invested in your spiritual growth that you can thank today?• Who can you encourage by celebrating the work God is doing in their life?
You lose nothing by celebrating what God is doing in others. In fact, a heart that delights in someone else's growth reflects the heart of Christ.
Take a few moments today to thank God for His faithfulness, celebrate the fruit He's producing, and continue living with the same perseverance that marked the Thessalonian church.
If today's devotional encouraged you and you're ready to go deeper in your spiritual formation, I'd love to invite you to join Courage Co.—our Spirit-led leadership formation community. Together, we're becoming the kind of people God can trust through biblical teaching, practical leadership development, live masterclasses, prophetic encouragement, and authentic community.

Many believers spend their lives trying to earn something God has already given them.
In Ephesians 1:13, Paul says that after believing in Christ, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. In biblical culture, a seal represented ownership, authenticity, authority, protection, and approval. It declared that something belonged to the king.
That means you're not working toward God's acceptance. You're living from it.
The enemy knows he can't remove God's seal from your life, so instead he tries to convince you it isn't there. He whispers that you aren't enough, haven't done enough, haven't grown enough, or need to prove yourself before God can really use you.
But Scripture tells a different story.
In this episode, we'll explore what it means to be sealed by the Holy Spirit, why your identity was settled long before your performance, and how renewing your mind to this truth changes the way you live, lead, pray, work, and love.
If you've been striving for approval instead of walking in it, this conversation will help you return to the freedom Christ already secured for you.
Ready to go deeper?
If you're longing to build the spiritual, mental, emotional, and leadership capacity to live from your God-given identity—not strive for it—I want to invite you into Courage Co.

How hatred, division, jealousy, and unresolved anger quietly destroy what God is trying to build.
In Galatians 5, Paul warns believers about the works of the flesh—not just obvious sins, but destructive heart attitudes that can quietly take root and wreak havoc in our lives, relationships, churches, and communities.
In this episode of Jesus Timeout, we're examining four often-overlooked works of the flesh: hatred, variance, emulations, and wrath.
What begins as offense can become hostility.
What begins as hurt can become division.
What begins as comparison can become jealousy.
What begins as frustration can become explosive anger.
These attitudes don't simply affect our emotions—they shape our actions, influence our relationships, and hinder the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Join us as we explore:
• Why hatred is more than disagreement and often reveals unresolved offense• How division and party spirits fracture relationships and communities• The destructive nature of jealousy, envy, and comparison• Why suppressed anger eventually erupts if left unaddressed• How to recognize these strongholds before they gain influence• What it looks like to crucify the flesh and walk in the Spirit
God has not called us to be ruled by offense, envy, anger, or division. He has called us to walk in the freedom, maturity, and fruit that only the Holy Spirit can produce.
"Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." — Galatians 5:24

What if witchcraft isn't always what you've been taught to fear?
What if some of the greatest expressions of witchcraft aren't found in dark practices—but in our daily attempts to control outcomes, avoid conviction, and resist God's transforming work in our lives?
In this episode of Jesus Timeout, we're taking a fresh look at two uncomfortable but deeply important topics: idolatry and witchcraft.
Using Galatians 5, Romans 1, Romans 12, and the story of Dagon falling before the Ark of the Covenant in 1 Samuel 5, we'll explore how idols are often the things we think about most, trust most, depend on most, or devote ourselves to more than God.
For some people, it's money.
For others, it's success, relationships, children, approval, comfort, control, influence, productivity, security, or even ministry.
We'll also unpack why Scripture lists witchcraft as a work of the flesh and how the flesh constantly tries to preserve itself by convincing us that we don't need to change. Rather than submitting to God's refining work, the flesh seeks shortcuts, self-preservation, control, and relief without transformation.
The Holy Spirit doesn't merely manage symptoms—He goes after roots.
And while that process can be uncomfortable, it leads to the freedom we've been praying for.

What happens when someone receives authority before they've developed the capacity to steward it?
In 1 Timothy 3:6, Paul gives leaders a powerful warning: don't elevate people too quickly.
Why?
Because gifting without maturity can create pride.
Influence without character can create damage.
Authority without stewardship can create unnecessary storms.
Whether you're leading a business, ministry, team, family, or community, one of the most important leadership lessons you'll ever learn is that capacity must grow before responsibility does.

Yet the fruit you've been believing for seems delayed.
In this episode of Jesus Timeout, we're diving into the powerful truth found in Colossians 2:7 and Psalm 1. Before a tree ever bears fruit, it first develops roots. Long before anyone sees growth above the surface, something significant is happening beneath it.

• Why God develops roots before fruit• How hidden seasons prepare you for visible impact• What Psalm 1 reveals about lasting fruitfulness• Why maturity matters more than immediate results• How to stay encouraged when the harvest seems delayed• The connection between spiritual depth and Kingdom influence• Why your current season may be preparing you for your greatest fruitfulness yet

In this episode of Jesus Timeout, Juliana unpacks a powerful revelation from 2 Corinthians 12:12 about the “signs of an apostle” and what true spiritual endurance actually looks like.
We often think signs and wonders only refer to miracles, healing, or supernatural manifestations. But Paul reveals something deeper: one of the clearest signs of divine empowerment is the supernatural ability to remain faithful under pressure.
This episode explores the hidden weight carried by those on the front lines of obedience — leaders, parents, believers, builders, intercessors, and those advancing God’s Kingdom in difficult environments. There is a grace required for people who absorb warfare, resistance, criticism, spiritual opposition, emotional exhaustion, and relentless responsibility while continuing to show up with faithfulness, humility, and endurance.
